Sustainable Energy Development Office E-newsletter March 2009

Welcome to Adobe GoLive 6

As the newly appointed Executive Director of the Sustainable Energy Development Office (SEDO), I warmly welcome all subscribers to the e-Newsletter March 2009 edition.

In this issue, we consider an American initiative to add solar cells to road surfaces to generate clean solar power and the recipient of a National Future Leader award is researching the real value of building green.

A local energy group is set to establish the world’s biggest wave power project at Albany and thousands of households in the metropolitan area were encouraged to switch their thinking on energy efficiency thanks to a successful project in schools and community groups.

As well, I’m extremely proud of the SEDO staff who helped us achieve a 5 Star NABERS Energy rating for our Office of Energy tenancy as part of our commitment to the CitySwitch program - it’s a fantastic effort and a guide to other Perth CBD office tenancies of what can be easily achieved.

The SEDO e-Newsletter aims to keep you up to date with innovative and practical ways of saving energy; encourage the implementation of energy efficient products, adopt best practice energy management and promote greater use of renewable energy.

As an incentive to e-Newsletter members to keep spreading the Energy Smart message, SEDO are offering 6 new release 09 Green (Perth and Surrounds) UBD Street Directories each valued at $36.95.

To enter, simply forward the new subscriber details to be added to the SEDO e-Newsletter monthly distribution list to: leanne.richmond@energy.wa.gov.au and the first six current members’ to do so will receive the latest Green UBD Street Directory.
