Illuminating ideas for cheaper commercial lighting
While we all need light to work by, there’s usually a high price to pay for a well-illuminated office. Some office buildings in the Perth CBD are glowing at night with every floor lit, and burning dollars. Lighting by tenants represents around 50% of energy bills in the typical office, but you can save a considerable amount of money by improving access to natural light, by selecting the right lighting for the task and by switching off lighting when it is not needed.

WA’s remote areas power up with renewable energy
From Esperance to Broome and in every region in between, WA’s Renewable Remote Power Generation Program is reaping excellent results. From the program’s commencement in 2001 to July 2005, more than $21.5m in rebates have been paid for 338 renewable energy power systems and 908 renewable energy water pumps across our State.
